Hendri Yulius Wijaya

Country Program Manager - Indonesia, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Indonesia

Hendri Yulius Wijaya is Country Program Manager for GRI in Indonesia. He leads GRI’s collaboration with Indonesian stakeholders to create an enabling policy environment for sustainable business practices, while assisting businesses in aligning their sustainability reporting with the international standards. He has been involved in developing the Indonesia sustainability reporting toolkit for various industries, such as Agriculture, Coal Mining, Property and Real Estate, and Hotel and Restaurant. Prior to GRI, Wijaya worked in diversity and inclusion, gender equality, human rights, poverty reduction, public health, and education in Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia. He holds Masters Degrees, in Gender and Cultural Studies (Sydney University); and Public Policy (Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore). In his personal capacity, he is also a published author in gender, diversity and inclusion, and culture.

    The sustainability reporting frameworks and processes need to consolidate and harmonise. This process is well underway with the joining of forces between organizations such as The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Sustainability disclosure is at the top of the agenda for many, creating momentum towards simplifying the corporate reporting landscape.
